The North Carolina Department of Transportation has announced the following road openings and closings.
NC DOT crews have completed the pipeline replacement work on Boggy Branch Road and the road is now open to traffic.
NC DOT has closed Elwell Ferry again due to high water. While the ferry is closed, NC DOT will be taking the opportunity to replace a couple of small crossline on Elwell Ferry Road between NC 87 and the river. This work will be performed under traffic so that access is maintained to the wildlife landing.
UPCOMING CLOSINGS:
Beginning next week, NC DOT plans to close Sarah Peterson Road at a location 0.33 miles west of Microwave Tower Road. The road will be closed for the entire week as DOT replaces two large crossline pipes.
