pediatric-neurologist-joins-sehealth

Natasha Acosta Diaz, M.D., a pediatric neurologist, has joined Southeastern Neurological Center, an affiliate of Southeastern Health (SeHealth).

Dr. Acosta Diaz earned her medical degree from Instituto Tecnologico de Santo Domingo, D.R. in 2006. She completed a general pediatrics residency at Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center in New York in 2012. She also completed a fellowship in child neurology at S.U.N.Y. Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, N.Y., in 2015 as well as a clinical neurophysiology fellowship in New York Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical College in 2016. She is board certified in neurology with special qualification in child neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

She has special interests in general child neurology as well as intractable/refractory epilepsy and epilepsy surgery.

“Soon after my interview at Southeastern Regional Medical Center, I knew this was the hospital I would end up joining,” said Dr. Acosta Diaz. “In being the first full-time pediatric neurologist to join the hospital, I saw the opportunity of really making a difference by diagnosing and treating neurological diseases in the most needed and vulnerable population of our community–children.”

She and her husband, Dr. Roberto Arias Gautreaux, a general surgeon who will soon join SeHealth, have two daughters and reside in Fayetteville.

Southeastern Neurological Center is located at Southeastern Health Park, 4901 Dawn Drive, Suite 3100, in Lumberton. To schedule an appointment call, (910) 671-9298.
