ELIZABETHTOWN – Midway closed out a 15-0 softball victory over East Bladen Friday night with a ten-run fourth inning in the Four County Conference opener for both teams.

The Lady Raiders capitalized on a walk, 2 infield hits and a misjudged fly ball for 3 runs in the first inning. Midway added single runs in the second and third before sending 16 batters to the plate in the fourth.

Junior Majesti Corbett swatted a single past the firstbaseman in the second inning for the first Lady Eagle hit. Junior Faith Johnson ripped a single to leftfield in the third inning, and freshman Johanna Parker lined a single to left in the fourth.

Junior Kaley Smith handled the pitching duties for East Bladen.

The Lady Eagles are now 1-2 and will host Clinton Tuesday at 6 p.m.
