TEACHEY – Wallace-Rose Hill defeated East Bladen 14-1 Thursday night in Four County Conference softball action.
Senior pitcher Haley Rivenbark slugged a home run that highlighted a 4-run first-inning for the Lady Bulldogs who added 4 more runs in the third and 2 in the third. Senior catcher Sara Darling ended the game with a sixth-inning home run.
The East Bladen run came in the third inning when sophmore Ja’Tyra Moore-Peterson singled, and junior Faith Johnson slammed a double. Senior Emily Scott cracked a single, but two runners were left on base.
Johnson’s double led the East Bladen hitters. Moore-Peterson singled and scored the run. Scott, pitcher Kaley Smith and freshman Johanna Parker added one hit each.
Sophmore Haven Williams batted 4-5 to lead the Lady Bulldogs, and Darling finished 3-5 at the plate with the home run.
East Bladen will host Clinton Monday at 6 p.m.
