Thoughts While ShavingThe high school football regular season is coming to a close…..one game remaining…Late scores….Midway 33-West Bladen 6 and East Bladen ‘snatched” victory from the jaws of defeat, scoring in the final couple of minutes of play to defeat Union 12-8.  Both were conference games…The last regular season game pits West Bladen at East Bladen next Friday night….
Then hopefully, both teams  will participate in the state 2A playoffs.
If you are a huge fan of high school football, you should read John Clark’s article on the latest average daily membership (ADM) and how it could  play a role in the upcoming playoff pairings….
Today is one of the busiest days of the year….A partial list of activities:

Today is the last day for Early Voting for municipal elections…..It comes to a close at 1 PM and not a minute later….The General Election is set forTuesday
Ever make a fool of yourself….innocently…..West Bladen Coach Russell Dove could provide commitment papers for me….As my granny said, “I shant tell if he doesn’t.”
Remember when Halloween Carnivals were good events for youngsters to attend, many times church sponsored……Have been demonized….and maybe rightfully so….
The lesson of Halloween is that pretending to be something you’re not will lead to a sweet reward.
Knock, knock. “Who’s there?” “Annie.” “Annie who?” “Annie body home?”
How do you repair a broken jack-o-lantern?  Buy a pumpkin patch.
