Hopefully this is the last really ‘bad’ weather this year….Heard one meteorologist promise we would see no more of the really ‘bad’ stuff…..He promised to jump into a pool if his predication was proven wrong…..

Other special events…the Annual Oyster Roast and Fish Fry sponsored by the Dublin Peanut Festival committee…The event is scheduled for Saturday, February 28 from 11 a.m til 5 p.m. at the General Store at Lu Mil Vineyard. Tickets are $35 in advance, $40 at the door…Advance tickets available from committee members, Lu Mil or Taylor Mfg in Elizabethtown….DPF committee does lots of good work with proceeds….
The 10th Annual Black History program sponsored by the Black History Appreciation Committee will be held at the Spaulding Monroe Cultural Center in Bladenboro on Friday (tomorrow) beginning at 11 a.m. Check our Events for details…
Friends of Kyle Cashwell are are hosting a coon hunt, a chicken and rice plate sale fundraiser beginning at 5 p.m. Saturday at Hickory Grove Fire Department. Remember Kyle lost a leg and arm in a farming accident last year…The bills continue to ‘build up’ and you are invited to assist…
