Lest I forget, a reminder of the activities at White Lake this afternoon. A tractor pull, gospel sing and much more on the vacant lot across from Scotchman…the old airport site for those that remember.
And one more reminder, Monday, the West Bladen High School Booster Club is meeting at 7 PM in the WBHS Atrium. All the WB faithful are invited.
Not sure which is worse, hearing the presidential candidates ‘trash’ each other or listening to the ‘talking heads’ on the various all-news networks attempting to tell us what they said and why.
By the way, if you are not a Trump or Hillary supporter, there is another option. Gary Johnson, former Governor of New Mexico is the Libertarian candidate. His VP is William Weld, a former Massachusetts Governor. One poll has them with about 8% or the vote.
May be another one or two if you just want to totally ‘throw your vote away.”
Ever ‘slop’ the hogs? Not sure of the spelling and seldom hear the word now, but slopping the hogs was a much used term when I was a youngster. For those who never heard, it was feeding the hogs but their feed was not as it is today….it was a sloppy mess.
For the most part, Bladen County farmers appear to have a pretty decent crop this year.
My mind is like a steel trap, rusty and illegal in 37 states.
No one is listening until you make a mistake.
Some drink at the fountain of knowledge, others just gargle.
