They say for a business to be successful, there needs to be diversity. The Taylor family, owners of Lu Mil Vineyard among other businesses, are experts at diversifying.
Ron Taylor came up with another great idea, Tomato Sandwich Day on the Doc’s Deck at Lu Mil Vineyard this Saturday.
Denise T. Bridgers, Ron’s partner at Lu Mil Vineyard said Ron came to her earlier this week and suggested they have a Tomato Sandwich Day.
“We researched it and there were Tomato Days, but no Tomato Sandwich Day and it took off from there. It has been one of the best small events we have had here.” Denise said.
A large variety of tomatoes were offered on sandwich bread, along with other new products the vineyard is now offering, such as; Red Tomato Preserves, and Bloody Mary Drink Mix with Dilly Beans.
The Oak Run Band entertained the crowd from 11 am until 2 pm while they enjoyed some of the simple, yet best things about being in the South according to some: tomato sandwiches.
