UPDATE: Bank Account Established for JT Higgs

In September of 2016, seven month old JT Higgs was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. He was treated at Duke and after several long, hard months of fighting the disease, the family learned in January of 2017 that JT was in remission. Less than two months later, JT’s parents have received news that the Leukemia is back… and it is aggressive.

A GoFundMe.com account for the family has been established. However, GoFundMe charges a percentage for each deposit and a fee to disperse the funds from the account. In an effort to help eliminate some of those charges and fees so that all of the funds go to the family, a donation account has been established at First South Bank to assist the family of 14-month old, JT, with medical, travel, and living expenses. If you’re interested in making a contribution, please visit your local First South Bank and let them know you’re interested in donating to the account for the benefit of JT Higgs. The account number has been distributed to all of the branches to make your transaction smooth. First South Bank has branches all over the east coast of North Carolina. If you’re out of state, contributions can be mailed to First South Bank, PO Box 99, Elizabethtown, NC 28337.

Also, tee shirts have been ordered and will be for sale starting tomorrow morning (Tuesday, March 14th). Adult and youth sizes are available. A limited number have been ordered in each size. Adult tee shirts are $20.00 and youth tee shirts are $15.00. Shirts will be available for purchase at First South Bank in Elizabethtown. Tee shirts are gray with a Fight Like a Kid! logo on the front and a Team JT logo on the back of the shirts. All proceeds will go to the family of JT Higgs.
