ST. PAULS – Senior Anna Grace Long and junior Hannah Devane combined for 46 service points to lead East Bladen to a 3-1 non-conference volleyball victory over St. Pauls by set scores of 27-25, 19-25, 25-21 and 28-26.

Long racked up 24 service points, an ace and 7 kills for the winners. Devane pounded in 22 service points, 4 aces and 3 kills. Sophmore Ashley Hardin belted in 13 service points and 3 kills.

Senior Lexie Mendell posted a double-double of 11 kills and 11 service points and fired in an ace. Senior Bethany Lesane contributed 13 service points and 2 kills.

Junior Shardajah Brown and junior Kaley Smith both finished with 5 service points and 2 aces for East. Senior Alexa Hernandez added 4 service points, an ace and a kill.

Coach Jennifer Hair’s Lady Eagles improve to 3-2 with the victory and will host Whiteville Tuesday at 4:30.

In the preliminary match, East Bladen’s jayvees claimed their first victory of the season with a 2-1 victory by set scores of 23-25, 25-19 and 15-9.

Gracyn Martin poured in 17 service points and 5 aces to lead the Lady Eagles. Teammate Cybil Campbell tallied 11 service points, 4 kills and an ace.

Sarah Johnson totaled 13 service points, 2 kills and an ace for the winners. Teammate Ruth Ward delivered 8 service points, and Adrienne Howell finished with 7 service points.

Izzy Smith totaled 6 service points for East, and teammate Lorna Mendell hammered in 4 kills. Abigail Cross added one service point.
