Fairmont defeated West Bladen 3-0 Monday night in non-conference volleyball action at West by game scores of 24-19, 25-10 and 25-20.
Junior Logan Autry topped the West Bladen scoring with 9 service points, 4 kills and an ace. Teammate Kathryn Schultz followed with 5 service points, an ace and a kill.
Junior Kaylee Stevens chipped in with 4 service points, 2 aces and 2 digs for West. Teammate Morgan Schumacher hammered in 3 kills and 2 blocks.
Senior Lorna Smith contributed 2 kills, a block and a dig to the Lady Knight attack. Sophomore Laikyn Pait tallied 2 service points and an ace.
Junior Kassidy Anderson finished with 2 kills and a service point, and junior Jenna Dove added a service point.
“The girls played much better and are beginning to click as a team,” said West Bladen Coach Gaye Davis.
The Lady Knights travel to St. Pauls today (Tuesday).
