ROSE HILL – West Bladen’s Knights won a track meet for the first time in school history Tuesday at Union. The Knights edged East Bladen and Wallace-Rose Hill 73 points to 71.5.
Midway finished fourth with 71 points and Union was fifth with 26 points.
Event winners for Coach Taurius Baker’s Knights included senior Ty’kee Jeffries in the 100 Meter Dash, junior Corey McLaughlin in the 800 Meter Run and sophmore Bryan Padilla in the 1600 Meter Run.
East Bladen was only 1.5 points back in a tie for second-place. Eagle event winners included senior Atlas Goss in both the Shot Put and the Discus, senior Eian Hines in the Long Jump and junior A. J. Winn in the 400 Meter Run.
Midway won the girls meet with 116 points, and Wallace-Rose Hill followed with 66 points. East Bladen placed third with 36 points followed closely by West Bladen with 34.5 points. Union was fifth with 24.5 points.
No one from East Bladen or West Bladen won a girls event.
