ELIZABETHTOWN – East Bladen’s Lady Eagles defeated West Bladen’s jayvees 8-1 Tuesday in non-conference women’s tennis action.
This is the first year that West Bladen fielded a junior varsity team in women’s tennis. “We have about 20 girls out this year so I thought it would be good experience for them to get some games in,” said Lady Knight Coach Jeff Atkinson. “We are looking at possibly playing some of Purnell Swett’s younger players during the year and playing East Bladen again onSeptember 20.”

East Bladen will host Clinton on Tuesday September 6th at 4 p.m. The West Bladen at East Bladen varsity match that was scheduled for Thursday has been rescheduled for September 21.
